Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a family with a strong musical background. When she was a kid, she listened to a lot of classical music and old Boleros. In addition, she was a fan of traditional romantic ballads and ranchero. Ana loves tangos and opera, and the dramatic shows that she attends. At age 16 she started singing and studying music with her mum. Flavio, a Mexican famous tenor, started giving her a more intensive training in singing. Music lessons continued throughout the School of Music of Guadalajara University. Later, she attended an institution called the School of Sacred Music of Toluca. While a student, and when she was a professional young within Mexico City and Guadalajara she sang with several chamber groups as well as choruses. Following her move from Mexico to the United States at the age of 2000, she performed for the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. She sings in Ensemble XXI Redlands, and performs Latin American traditional music solo at many private events. Her passion for singing, music as well as the arts keeps her engaged in local projects both as an artist and educator. Ana was also a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently a teacher at the Performance Loft. Ana is grateful to the Inland Master Choir for the permission to sing the traditional Latin American song.
